Song of the Week

I Know
by: Tom Odell

Whenever I first discovered Tom Odell last year, I wasn’t really sure how much I liked him. His voice for me took a little getting used to. But, I’m a sucker for anyone who writes their own music, and the fact that he’s only twenty three and writes his own songs, made me like him even more. Like my previous song of the week, Tom Odell is also British. I have a thing for British musicians, especially piano led songs, which most of Tom Odell’s are. This song doesn’t really need much explaining, the words pretty much speak for themselves. The chorus says:

I know what you told me
I know that it's all over
And I know I can't keep calling
Every time I run (yeah)
I keep on falling
I know what you told me
I know that it's all over
And I know I can't keep calling
Just every time I run (yeah)
I keep on falling on you

It isn't hard to understand what he's saying, but the tune is catchy. And I don’t think I need to explain much what the words mean. But I still think it rings pretty clear. Sometimes it’s just really hard to let people go, and no matter how many times you tell each other it’s the last time, you both know that it isn’t. I like the way that he puts his words together, and he has some other good songs as well. I Know is definitely one of my favorites right now. Check it out: Tom Odell - I Know Also check out some of his other songs too! Love, Palmer.

  1. Hey Palmer, you don't know me, but I saw you throwing around your blog on Pinterest and stopped by. Suggestion: you should use the link on Youtube for sharing on Blogger in this post so the video shows up right in your post instead of the link you have which directs people off your blog page and on to youtube. ;)
